Women's Tennis Set to Play in Regionals

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Six women's tennis players will represent Southern Miss at the ITA Southern Regional Women's Tennis Championships this weekend in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
The tournament field includes a total of 16 teams, three from Conference USA. Southern Miss will be represented by Alex Kitchen, Carolin Drescher, Claudia Castella, Tjasa Jerse, Tzu-Hui Chen and Elena Roca.
The event starts with a round of 64 in the A singles draw and 32 in B singles, along with 32 in A doubles and 16 in B doubles. The matches begin at 9 a.m. each morning starting Friday, Oct. 14, with the first round of Doubles followed immediately after with singles action.
The Finals are set to be played on Monday, Oct. 17, at 9 a.m. at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.
