HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- In the second installment of the Golden Eagle Flyby, we sit down with two junior soccer players -- Rikke Randrup and Adriana Garcia.
Randrup, a transfer from Northern Oklahoma College, looks to be a big contender at the forward position this year. She hails from Ringsted, Denmark where she was a member of the U16/U17 Danish National Team from 2009-11.
The second junior we sit down with is defender Garcia. She is from San Antonio, Texas and has been very important for the Golden Eagles. Garcia is one of two defenders to start all 19 games in 2014, while playing in all 20 games as a freshman.
Rikke Randrup, Forward

RR: Southern Miss has made me homesick, but that has only helped me to try harder.

Q: What drives you as an athlete?
RR: The feeling you get when you score a goal or succeed with something you have worked on, as well as forgetting about any outside problems when I play. I just get to focus on the game.
Q: Where would you want to go on a vacation if money was no option?
RR: If money was no option, I would want to vacation at the Samoan Islands or Galapagos Islands.
Q: Outside of electronics, what is your most important possession?
RR: My teddy bear is my most important possession.
Q: If you had to choose, would you rather write in pen or pencil? Why?
RR: I would have to write in pen because it looks pretty.

RR: Big, Honest, Competitive, and very hard on myself.
