Men's Golf Releases 2015-16 Schedule

HATTESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss men's golf team released its schedule for the 2015-16 season, Monday, and the program will play in 11 regular-season tournaments including the Conference USA Championship, which will be held April 24-27 at Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana, Ark.
The Golden Eagles, under 10th-year coach Jerry Weeks, will play in four tournaments during the fall portion of the schedule, before playing in seven tournaments during the spring including the C-USA event.
"This is another great schedule for our team this upcoming season, which will challenge us in each event," said Weeks. "We feel this will be an exciting year for Southern Miss men's golf." The season opens for the Golden Eagles with their annual home tournament, the Sam H. Hall Intercollegiate, at the Hattiesburg Country Club on Sept. 14-15. The first day of the tournament will feature 36 holes of tournament action, following with one round of 18 holes to complete play the following day.
In all, Southern Miss will play tournaments in six different states, including three in Texas, two each in Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee, along with one each in Alabama and Louisiana.
The squad returns three letterwinners from last year's squad including senior Hayes Weathersby (Poplarville, Miss.), junior Ryan Argotsinger (Kansas City, Mo.) and sophomore Vasili Kartos (Birmingham, Ala.).
