Women's Golf Finishes in 17th-Place at Rebel Intercollegiate

Oxford, Miss. -- The Southern Miss women's golf team finished in 17th-place at the Rebel Intercollegiate, hosted by Ole Miss. The tournament was played at the par-72, 6,210-yard Ole Miss Golf Course.
The Lady Eagles shot a final round 309 to finish 67-over par, three strokes behind Mercer.
Junior Jennifer Nguyen tied for 50th-place at 12-over par after carding a 76. Her 54-hole score of 228 is a career-low. Sophomore Devon Spriddle tied for 69th-place at 15-over par after shooting a 77.
Freshman Belen Abrile tied for 75th-place at 18-over par after posting a 76. Sophomore Emily Ross posted an 80 to finish in 86th-place while junior MacKenzie Kelly finished in 96th-place at 45-over par after carding a 92.
Texas A&M won the team competition at six-under par, three strokes in front of second-place Kent State.
Kent State's Josee Doyen finished eight-under par to earn medalist honors, five strokes ahead of Texas A&M's Marijosse Navarro.
The Lady Eagles close the season at the Conference USA Championships, Apr. 20-22, in Fort Myers, Fla.
