Women's Golf in Ninth at Lady Eagle Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's golf team is in ninth-place at the 21st annual Lady Eagle Invitational. The tournament is being played at the par-72, 6,111-yard Hattiesburg Country Club.
The final round was halted after seven holes due to rain. Play will continue tomorrow morning, weather permitting.
The Lady Eagles shot a 315 to sit 27-over par.
Sophomore Devon Spriddle is tied for seventh-place. She is three-over par after carding a 75.
Sophomore Emily Ross is four-over par after posting a 76 to sit four-over par.
Junior Jennifer Nguyen is tied for 24th-place at six-over par after shooting a 78.
Junior MacKenzie Kelly is tied for 70th-place at 14-over par after shooting an 86 and freshman Belen Abrile is tied for 74th-place at 15-over par after an 87.
Western Kentucky leads the team competition at five-over par, eight strokes ahead of South Alabama.
WKU's Ellinor Haag is four-under par to lead the individual tournament, four shots ahead of teammate Georgina Blackman and South Alabama's Elisa Axelsen.
