Argotsinger Finishes Ninth at Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate

Mobile, Ala. - Sophomore Ryan Argotsinger fired a final round 71 to finish one-over par in ninth-place at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate. The tournament was hosted by South Alabama and was played at the par-72, 7,160-yard Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course.
The ninth-place finish tied Argotsinger's season-high. The 71 was also his second straight round of par or better and the fifth of his season.
The Golden Eagles finished 39-over par in 11th-place after shooting a final round 298.
Seniors Drew Kirby tied for 31st-place at nine-over par after posting his third consecutive round of 75. Senior Casey Fernandez tied for 44th-place after carding a 78 to finish 12-over par.
Junior Hayes Weathersby tied for 59th-place, 17-over par after closing with a 74 and junior Tyler Peggs posted a 78 to sit 29-over par, tied for 72nd-place.
Freshman Vasili Kartos finished in 27th-place in the USA Individual Tournament.
Auburn won the team competition at three-under par, eight strokes ahead of South Alabama.
Auburn's Matt Gilchrest and Texas State's Tyler Saunders earned co-medalist honors, finishing five-under par.
Southern Miss returns to the links next week at the Louisiana Classics, Mar. 2-3.
