ASN Set to Broadcast Two Baseball Road Games

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss will have a pair of Conference USA road tilts broadcast on the American Sports Network (ASN) this spring according to an announcement made by the league office in Irving, Texas, on Tuesday.
The Golden Eagles' April 12 contest at Western Kentucky, as well as its regular-season finale, May 16, at Middle Tennessee will be aired by the network. Both game times have been moved up an hour to 12 noon to accommodate television. Stations carrying the respective games will be announced a later time.
ASN is a collegiate sports initiative owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. that airs C-USA football, men's basketball and women's basketball games on television stations throughout the nation. Sinclair, the largest and one of the most diversified television broadcasters in the country, owns and operates, programs and provides sales services to 162 television stations in 78 markets, reaching approximately 39 percent of U.S. television households and affiliated with all the major broadcast networks.
In addition, the Golden Eagles previously announced television game at Rice, March 27, has switched networks. The game, originally slated for Fox Sports One (FS1), has been moved to Fox Sports Two (FS2). The game time will stay at 6 p.m.
Southern Miss opens its 2015 baseball campaign this Friday at 4 p.m., when they play host to Murray State for the first of a three-game series.
