Kirby in Contention at Memphis Intercollegiate

Cordova, Tenn. - Senior Drew Kirby is tied for seventh-place heading into the final round of the Memphis Intercollegiate, which is played at the par-72, 7,334-yard Colonial Country Club.
Kirby is just three shots back of the lead, which is held by Louisiana Tech's Victor Lange, along with Ben Wood and Fletcher Johnson of Mississippi State. He opened with a 72 before finishing with a 71 to sit one-under par. He now has three rounds of par or better on the season and nine in his career.
The Golden Eagles are nine-over par, tied with Arkansas State for fourth-place. Host Memphis leads the tournament at one-under par, one-shot ahead of Louisiana Tech.
Sophomore Ryan Argotsinger is tied for 13th-place at one-over par after carding rounds of 74-71/145. His 71 gives him two rounds of par or better on the year.
Junior Tyler Peggs, in his first complete rounds of the year, posted consecutive 73's for a 36-hole score of 146, placing his two-over par.
Senior Casey Fernandez is tied for 28th-place. He opened with a 70, his fourth round of par or better on the year and the 23rd of his career. However, Fernandez closed with a 78 to sit four-over par.
Junior Hayes Weathersby is tied for 34th-place at five-over par after posting rounds of 74-75/149, and freshman Vasili Kartos is 15-over par, tied for 70th-place, after rounds of 81-78/159.
