Spriddle Tied for Tenth at the Conference USA Championship

Gulf Shores, Ala. - Freshman Devon Spriddle tied a career-best with a one-over 73 to sit in a tie for 10th-place after one round of the Conference USA Championship. The tournament is being played at the par 72, 6,145-yard Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club.
Spriddle also shot a 73 in the UC Spring Invitational and the Lady Eagle Invitational.
As a team, the Lady Eagles are in eighth-place after carding a 20-over par 308, two shots behind North Texas.
Seniors Lauren Judson and Kaylee Random are tied for 36th-place after posting six-over 78's. Senior Brandi Rodriguez and sophomore Juliana Herrera each shot a seven-over par 79 to tie for 43rd-place.
Tulane leads the tournament at seven-under par, five shots in front of UTSA. Tulane's Gemma Dryburgh and Emily Penttila and UTSA's Fabiola Arriaga are tied for the individual lead at four-under par.
The second round begins tomorrow at 7:50 a.m. CT, with the Lady Eagles teeing off at 9:10 a.m. CT. Fans can follow all the action live at www.golfstat.com.
