Brandi Rodriguez Captures FSGA Four-Ball Championship

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss senior women's golfer Brandi Rodriguez captured the Florida State Golf Association's Women's Four-Ball Championship, played at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Rodriguez, who teamed with UCF's Sarah Matin, claimed the title by shooting 10-under par 67-67=134.
After Saturday's first round, the duo was tied for the lead with the defending Champions, Wendi Golden and Ericka Schneider. Rodriguez and Matin were three-under after four holes and then later went two up through nine holes. Rodriguez and Matin were tied through 16 with Golden and Schneider, but a birdie on 16 gave them the lead. Rodriguez and Matin had a total of seven birdies.
