Women's Golf Signee Ross Earns State Championship

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss women's signee Emily Ross recently concluded her high school career in spectacular fashion. The Diamondhead, Miss., native earned medalist honors at the Mississippi High School Athletics Association Class III Championship, played at Sunkist Country Club in Biloxi.
Ross carded rounds of 80 and 78 for a two-day total of 158 to win the title by 11 strokes. In addition, her performance helped Hancock High School capture its first MHSAA Class III State Championship.
Her 78 was also the low score of the tournament.
