Lady Eagles Head to Louisiana for Fred Marx Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's golf team continues the season this week when it travels to Monroe, La., for the Fred Marx Invitational, hosted by Louisiana-Monroe and played at the par-72, 6,114-yard Bayou DeSiard Country Club.
Also competing in the tournament are Centenary, Houston Baptist, Jackson State, Lamar, Louisiana-Monroe, McLennan CC, McNeese State, New Orleans, Northeastern State, Oklahoma City, Sam Houston State, South Alabama, Stephen F. Austin, Troy and Western Kentucky.
Golfers will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 and Tuesday. Both days will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
The Lady Eagles are led by senior Vicky Correa with a stroke average of 75.00. Junior Brandi Rodriguez is averaging 75.33 and freshman Juliana Herrera is posting 75.67 strokes.
