Southern Miss in Ninth-Place at Memphis Intercollegiate

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss men's golf team is in ninth-place after two rounds of the Memphis Intercollegiate, played at the par-72, 7,334-yard Colonial Country Club.
The Golden Eagles shot rounds of 309 and 304 to sit 37-over par, six shots behind eighth-place Louisiana Tech.
Senior Nick Brown is tied for 14th-place after shooting rounds of 76 and 74 for a 36-hole score of 150 to sit six-over par. Freshman Casey Fernandez opened with a 77 before shooting a second round 74 for a score of seven-over par 151 to sit in a 21st-place tie.
Sophomore Kevin Brady is tied for 30th-place at nine-over par 153. He opened with a 78 before shooting a second round 75.
Senior Derek Plucienski is tied for 51st-place at 15-over after shooting rounds of 78 and 81. Freshman Drew Kirby is 16-over par, tied for 55th-place after rounds of 79 and 81.
Kennesaw State leads the tournament at 17-over par with a 36-hole score of 593. Middle Tennessee is in second-place at 20-over par.
Arkansas-Little Rock's Nicklaus Benton leads the individual tournament at one-under par. Akron's Ryan Mason and Kennesaw State of Ben Greene are tied for second at even-par.
