HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Former Southern Miss baseball player Brian Dozier, who recently finished a stellar season for the New Britain Rock Cats of the Eastern League (Double A, Minnesota Twins) was invited to play in the Arizona Fall League.
The AFL is a league for top prospects from different MLB organizations to get a look outside of their respective minor league seasons by their respective parent clubs.
Dozier will be playing for the Mesa Solar Sox with the AFL season beginning on Tuesday, Oct., 4, and ending with the championship game on Nov. 19. Dozier is writing a blog of his experiences during his time in the AFL. You can follow his blog here.
