Baseball Rained Out for Second Straight Day

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Heavy rains over the last two days has forced postponement of tonight's Southern Miss baseball game versus Alabama A&M at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field.
This is the second-straight day the Golden Eagles have been rained out, after having its Tuesday contest with South Alabama washed out as well. Both games are in the process of trying to be rescheduled. The Southern Miss Athletics Department asks fans with tickets for both of these games to hold on to them for use for the possible makeup dates.
The Golden Eagles (8-3) will return to action at home, Friday, when they play host to Missouri State (8-3) for the first of a three-game set. Game time is 6 p.m.
This is the fourth time a game has been either postponed or cancelled for the Golden Eagles during the 2011 season because of rain.
