Baseball Ascends into all Five Major Baseball Polls

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss entered three national polls and moved up in two others Monday after finishing last week with a 3-2 record, including two of three wins over then nationally ranked Tulane.
The Golden Eagles (18-5 overall, 2-1 C-USA) moved up to No. 20 from No. 25 in the Collegiate Baseball poll and up to No. 28 from No. 30 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll. In addition, Southern Miss entered the Baseball America, ESPN/USA Today and Perfect Game polls at No. 22 in each ranking.
Southern Miss concludes a five-game homestand Wednesday when they entertain Ole Miss in a 6 p.m., contest at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field.
