Women's Golf Heads to FIU Bradley Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's golf team will play its second straight tournament in the state of Florida when it travels to Fort Myers, Fla., to participate in the 34th Annual FIU Pat Bradley Invitational, hosted by Florida International and played at the par 72, 6,241 yard Pelican Preserve & Country Club.
Southern Miss will compete with 14 other teams, led by 49th-ranked North Texas, No. 67 Florida International and No. 80 Eastern Michigan.
Also participating is Bethune-Cookman, Boston College, Bradley, Cincinnati, Daytona State, Delaware, Drake, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Stetson and Western Illinois.
Golfers will play 18 holes each day, Sunday-Tuesday, following a shotgun format.
This will be the Lady Eagles first time participating in the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational.
Southern Miss is coming off a second-place finish at the USF/Waterlefe Invitational. The Lady Eagles had four golfers in the top 20, led by Brand Rodriguez in fourth-place.
Senior Sandra Sohlberg leads USM with a stroke average of 76.5 through six rounds. Rodriguez is right behind her with a 77.8 stroke average.
