Women's Golf Closes Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate in Seventh Place

Augusta, Ga. - The Southern Miss women's golf team finished in seventh place at the Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate. The tournament was hosted by the Augusta State University and was played at Forest Hills Golf Club.
The Lady Eagles shot a final round 312 to finish 71-over par. Coastal Carolina won the team competition at 27-over par, and host Augusta State took second at 42-over par.
Senior Samantha Holts led the Lady Eagles in a tie for 20th-place at 17-over par. It was her first Top 20 finish of the season.
Senior Amy Roberts and sophomore Sandra Sohlberg tied for 27th-place at 20-over par. Junior Virginia Espejo finished 21-over in a tie for 31st, while freshman Vicky Correa tied for 44th at 24-over par.
Aruka Felgueroso of Coastal Carolina won the individual tournament at three-over par. CCU's Brittany Henderson and Tamara Luccioli of Augusta State tied for second at seven-over par.
The Lady Eagles return to links April 2-4 when they participate in the Lady Rebel Intercollegiate in Oxford, Miss.
