HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss baseball team will once again be featured in national television broadcasts this season as CBS College Sports announced today that they will carry two Southern Miss road games this season in their college baseball lineup.
CBS-C will carry the Friday, April 30th game at Tulane and the Friday, May 14th game at Rice. The station also has the rights to the Conference USA Championship game on May 29 in Houston.
Additional games still remain a possibility and would be announced at a later date.
The Golden Eagles were featured a record eight times last season on TV, including seven national broadcasts. CBS-C carried two games at East Carolina and the C-USA Championship game vs. Rice from Pete Taylor Park.
ESPN and their family of networks carried all four of the games from the Gainesville Super Regional and the College World Series.
CSS regional television picked up one game in 2009, at Mississippi State.
