Birmingham, Ala. -- The Southern Miss Women's Tennis team came up just short on the road against Conference USA foe UAB on Sunday.
The Lady Eagles lost the final two singles points of the day and took home a 4-3 loss.
A point in doubles play came early as the senior tandem of Lauren Gutterman and Stephanie Dellocono continued to add victories to their impressive Southern Miss career records. The pair from Louisiana defeated Brittany DeFelice and Giorgia Romeo 8-3. Another pair of consistent doubles partners, Shannon Rogers and Zoe Lee got back on track and secured the point for Southern Miss by defeating Jenny Cape and Menanteau Moolman 8-3 as well.
