Men's Golf Opens Spring Season at Mobile Bay Intercollegiate

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss men's golf team will travel to Mobile, Ala. for the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of South Alabama. The tournament will take place at the par-72, 7,212 yard Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course.
A total of 18 teams, including nine teams ranked in the Golfweek Top 100, are scheduled to compete. Southern Miss is ranked 85th in the latest poll. Joining the Golden Eagles are Akron, Arkansas State, Belmont, Illinois State, Iowa State, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Kentucky, Louisville, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, South Alabama, South Florida, Toledo and Vanderbilt
Play will begin at 7:30 a.m. on both the first and 10th tees, with 18 holes to be played each day.
Redshirt senior Paul Apyan led Southern Miss in the fall, averaging a score of 73.0 strokes per round in four events. He also had two top ten finishes at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate and the Aldila Scenic Invitational.
