Golden Eagles Use Two-Hour Practice Saturday

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss football team went through a two-hour practice here Saturday afternoon as they continue to get ready for their bowl game, Dec. 21, in St. Petersburg, Fla.
The Golden Eagles utilized practice much the same as yesterday in allowing his team to get in individual work, while also giving the younger players an opportunity to go through team situations.
"We are still getting some good work from the younger guys," said Southern Miss coach Larry Fedora. "The older guys aren't getting as many reps but we are getting some great fundamental work early in practice."
The Golden Eagles will take off from practice tomorrow so that they can participate in the final Southern Miss bowl social at Turtle Creek Mall from 1-3 p.m. Coaches and selected players will be available as will the Southern Miss cheerleaders and Seymour at center court near JCPenney.
There will be an opportunity for all Golden Eagle fans to mingle with players and coaches and get autographs, along with face tattoos for the children from the cheerleaders, a silent auction and an opportunity to purchase bowl tickets.
The Golden Eagles will participate in their ninth straight bowl game by playing in the Beef `O' Brady's Bowl at Tropicana Field against Big East member Louisville. Game time is 7 p.m., CT.
