Women's Tennis Adds Two Lady Eagles

HATTIESBURG, Miss. Southern Miss women's tennis coach Randy Rowley has announced the signing of Angela Roesler and Vroni van Berlo for the 2009-2010 season.
Roesler, of Varby, Stockholm, Sweden, will join the Lady Eagles from Athletica Gymnasium. Roesler finished second place in the Swedish Doubles Championships, in addition to finishing second place in the District of Stockholm twice. She also placed third in Båstad Tennis, one of four large tournaments held in Sweden for women under 18. Roesler is the daughter of Viktoria and Max Roesler.
Van Berlo, of Erp, Netherlands, comes to Southern Miss after completing high school at Zwijsen College. Van Berlo played club tennis for ELTV under coach Mike Martin. She is also the sister of current Lady Eagle, Elja van Berlo. Van Berlo plans to major in Psychology and is the daughter of Albert van Berlo and Marion Verbruggen.
