HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss baseball program has announced the new dates for their annual summer baseball camps. The new dates are a result of the Golden Eagle baseball team extending their season to the College World Series last week. There will be several different camps offered this summer for players of all ages and skill levels.
Beginning on June 29, the Golden Eagle Kids Camp is an introductory skills camp for younger players in Grades 1-8. The camp will run from 9:00 a.m. until noon each day.
July 13 and 14 will be the Top 40 Skills camps, limited to the first 40 applicants, in Grades 9-12. The camp will focus on covering all fundamentals and skills of the game for the high school age players.
On July 18, Southern Miss will host its annual High School Showcase Camp, which is limited to the first 100 applicants. Players will have their opportunity to go through a pro-style workout in front of coaches from all levels and professional scouts.
