Each week the College Baseball Foundation selects a "National All-Star Lineup" which consists of the top players through out the country each week. This week they have selected Southern Miss outfielder Bo Davis/
Davis was also selected by Conference USA as the hitter of the week this past week.
Davis paced the Golden Eagle offense starting in all four victories last week. He hit .500 (8-16) with three home runs, eight runs scored and six RBI from his leadoff spot. He totaled 17 total bases including three walks for an on base percentage of .579 while slugging 1.063. In addition he was a perfect two-for-two on stolen bases and had a sacrifice bunt.
He ripped home runs in three consecutive games against UNO, South Ala. and ULL. His home runs against UNO and ULL led off the game. He recorded three hits in both the USA and Friday ULL game going three-for five with two runs scored and three RBI vs. USA and three-for-four with two runs and two RBI in the first game vs. ULL.
The news was not all good for Davis last week as he suffered a meniscus tear in his knee and will undergo surgery to repair the damage. He should miss approximately the next two weeks.
The College Baseball Foundation will release its "National All-Star Lineup" each week, giving accolades to the past week's top performers. The "National All-Star Lineup" is nominated by college coaches, staff and baseball media contacts.
