HATTIESBURG, Miss - The Southern Miss baseball team stayed perfect with a 13-6 win over Louisiana Lafayette at Pete Taylor Park Saturday afternoon.
"I thought we swung the bats and played great defense once again," head coach Corky Palmer said. "I thought we were just average on the mound today but it was a good win. Every time that ULL threatened to close the gap we were able to answer and keep the momentum on our side and that's the mark of a good club."
The Golden Eagles (7-0) also extended their streak of seven consecutive games in which they have scored double digit runs and double digit hits in a game with 13 runs and 14 hits this afternoon.
