HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- The Southern Miss women's basketball team hosts its cross-town opponent William Monday at 7 p.m., in Reed Green Coliseum.
Southern Miss is coming off a 91-54 loss at Michigan where Tanesha Washington and freshman Danielle Johnson scored 14 points apiece.
Pauline Love leads the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Rucker also is averaging double figure scoring with 11.0 points and Johnson at 10.3 points per game. Rucker leads the team in field goal percentage, connecting on 50.0 percent from the field.
As a team, Southern Miss is averaging 63.0 points and 38.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 41.4 percent from the field and 70.7 percent from the line.
William Carey started the season 0-3 after the Crusaders lost to Louisiana College, 79-67 (Nov. 19). Coach Tracy English returns six letterwinners and three starters from last year's team that finished 16-13.
Alisha Mason leads Carey in scoring and rebounding, averaging 19.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, while Kim Lewis is next at 15.0 points per outing. As a team, the Crusaders are averaging 58.7 points per game, while shooting 39.4 percent from the field and 68.4 percent from the line.

The Lady Eagles host their own La Quinta Inn Lady Eagle Classic, Nov. 27-28, with teams Jackson State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and the University of Georgia. Southern Miss takes on Jackson State in the opening game at 5 p.m., followed by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Georgia at 7 p.m. The consolation game is set to begin at 2 p.m., followed by the championship game at 4 p.m., Saturday.
