HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss baseball team will be on display twice this fall with games at Pete Taylor Park.
Fans can get their first look at the team since their return from Omaha last spring on Sunday, October 25 as they host cross-town William Carey.
"I think this is a good opportunity for us to be able to evaluate our players and play someone else besides ourselves," head coach Scott Berry said. "I also think there is also a local interest there with both programs in Hattiesburg."
This will mark the second consecutive fall that the two cross-town programs have met. Southern Miss scored eight runs in the first inning and cruised to a 10-0 victory last fall.
The annual Black and Gold game will be played on Sunday, November 1st. The game will feature the Golden Eagle squad divided into two teams and playing each other.
First pitch for both games will be at 2:00 p.m. at Pete Taylor Park. Tickets will be available at the Southern Miss ticket office or at the gate day of the game. Prices are $6 for adults and $4 for children.
