Southern Miss to Host Annual Fall Instructional Baseball League

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss baseball program and coach Corky Palmer announced today the information for the 2008 Southern Miss Fall Instructional Baseball League.
The Southern Miss Fall Instructional Baseball League is designed to allow high school ballplayers to continue developing their skills after the completion of summer baseball and will run on Tuesday's and Thursday's from September 4th-23rd this fall.
The league will consist of four teams made up of 15 players on each team. All instruction and coaching will be provided by members of the Southern Miss coaching staff as well as members of the Southern Miss baseball team. All practices and games will take place at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field.
The league is open to players who are sophomore, junior of seniors in high school (graduating years of '09, '10, and '11.)
The Fall Instructional League registration fee is $225.00 (with a $100.00 deposit to guarantee a roster spot) and will provide for the following: one game t-shirt, baseballs, field and facility usage, instruction, and secondary insurance coverage.
Due to the popularity of previous fall instructional leagues at Southern Miss it is highly suggested to register as soon as possible to secure a roster spot.
