Women's Golf Opens Spring Season in Mexico

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss women's golf team opens the 2008 spring season in Ensada, Mexico when the Golden Eagles co-host the Baja Invitational at the Bajamar Oceanfront Resort. Southern Miss is co-hosting the event with Northern Illinois.
Nine teams will compete in this event. The two host squads will be joined by Bradley, Drake, Iowa, Kennesaw State, North Texas, Southern Illinois and USC-Upstate. The field will be playing on a 6,094-yard course, with the Vista course serving as the front nine and the Oceano course serving as the back nine.
The teams will play 36 holes on Monday, starting with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament concludes on Tuesday with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start.
