Soccer Drops Fourth Straight Match at UTEP Sunday

EL PASO, Texas - The Southern Miss soccer team fell 2-1in Conference USA soccer action Sunday afternoon at UTEP.
The Golden Eagles (5-8-1, 1-5 C-USA) fell behind early after surrendering two goals in the 24th and 47th minutes, both by Tameka Sumter for the Miners.
Southern Miss was able to cut into the UTEP lead in the 68th minute as Sarah Brusco served a free kick into the box that Bianca Ontiveros converted for her first goal of the season into the right corner of the net.
The Golden Eagles return to the Southern Miss Soccer Complex this weekend as they host Houston on Friday and Rice on Sunday.
