HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss baseball fans should make plans to join the Alumni Association at the 2006 NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional prior to the Golden Eagles' game on Saturday, June 3, 2006, for a Southern Miss Baseball Eagle Landing.
The tailgating event, which will begin two hours prior to the first pitch of Southern Miss' game on Saturday, will feature Mugshots hamburgers, soft drinks and water. The event is free thanks to a generous donation by Mugshots Grill & Bar.
Southern Miss opens play in the regional on Friday versus Troy. Should the Golden Eagles win, they will play at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, versus the winner of a Friday evening contest between Alabama and Jacksonville State. Should the Golden Eagles lose Friday, they will play the Alabama/Jacksonville State loser at 2:30 p.m.
The Southern Miss Baseball Eagle Landing will be located across the street from Sewell-Thomas Field between the band practice field and the University of Alabama Alumni Center. Look for the black and gold tent and the Southern Miss Eagle Landing tailgating flag. A map of the area can be found at SouthernMissAlumni.com.
