Lady Eagle Soccer To Host Central Florida

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Southern Miss Lady Eagle Soccer team will host the Golden Knights of Central Florida in a Conference USA match-up on Saturday at noon at the Marshall Bell Track and Field and Soccer Complex.
This will be the second time the two teams have played. The last meeting was in 2005 in which Central Florida won, leading the series 1-0.
Southern Miss, under the direction of Head Coach Gail Macklin, enters the weekend with an overall record of 4-10-0 and a conference record of 0-6, following losses from Marshall (0-1) and East Carolina (2-0) last weekend.
The Lady Eagles have scored a total of 20 goals this season, allowing a total of 27 goals by opponents.
Sarah McFadden leads Southern Miss with six goals, and fifteen points and is tied with Kim Turner with three assists. Carly Barkley immediate follows with five goals, one assist and 11 points.
The Golden Knights enter the weekend with a 9-5-1 overall record and a conference record of 5-1, following victories over East Carolina and Marshall last weekend.
Game time is set for noon on Saturday at the Southern Miss Track and Field and Soccer Complex.
