Lady Eagle Tennis Dominates in Last Day of Lehigh Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Southern Miss Lady Eagle tennis team dominated the last day of the Lehigh Invitational, winning all four doubles contests and all four singles contests.
"I'm very pleased with the weekend," Head Coach Randy Rowley said. "We had a chance to play a lot of matches, but more importantly, we had the opportunity to work on a lot of things. Overall, this weekend was very productive for us. Now, we're looking forward to taking what we worked on this weekend to our next tournament in Memphis."
In singles action, Ali Blackett defeated Lehigh's Ariela Cohen, 6-4, 6-2, while Stephanie Dellocono defeated Lehigh's Julie Arthofer, 7-5, 6-1.
Also playing members of the Lehigh team, Grace Kammerer and Lauren Gutterman came out victorious in their matches. Kammerer defeated Cessa Murasko-Blank, 6-2, 6-3, and Gutterman defeated Vic Vityuk, 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles play, Kammerer and Blackett defeated Lehigh's Dwyer/Schwartz, 8-2, and Cohen/Furman, 8-3. Dellocono and Gutterman were victorious over Lehigh's Jacobi/Muasko-Blank., 8-1, and Vityuk/Arthofer, 8-4.
The Lady Eagles finished the entire weekend undefeated. They return to action this weekend in Memphis.
