BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Southern Miss Lady Eagle tennis team competed on Saturday in the first day of the Lehigh Invitational, winning all four matches.
"In my five years at Southern Miss, today was the best performance that we have ever had from a group of girls," said Head Coach Randy Rowley. "Everyone came out ready to play and everyone was excited and fired up. They really took care of business and they had a very high level of play. Their performance was amazing."
Junior Ali Blackett defeated Jessica Woolfolk (6-2, 6-7(6), 10-8), while freshman Stephanie Dellocono defeated Kelly Parsons (6-0, 6-0).
Senior Grace Kammerer was victorious over Amanda Scatnorchio (6-0, 6-2), and freshman Lauren Gutterman finished with a win over Cassandra Ng (6-1, 6-2).
