Friday?s Soccer Match Postponed

HATTIESBURG, Miss.? Southern Miss? Friday soccer match against North Florida has been postponed due to Hurricane Katrina, and rescheduled for 2007.

The two schools were scheduled to meet for the first time in school history on Friday at 4 p.m.

The match was one of six home matches at the Southern Miss Track and Field and Soccer Complex this season. The Lady Eagles now have four remaining home matches, the next coming in Conference USA action against Marshall on Oct. 14. Other home matches include East Carolina (Oct. 16), Houston (Oct. 28), and Rice (Oct. 30).

Southern Miss (3-0), off to its best start since the 2001 season, returns to action on Sunday, Sept. 11, at Centenary. The Lady Eagles will play their next seven matches on the road.
