Lady Eagle Tennis Team Adds Signee
HATTIESBURG, Miss. ? Southern Miss Head Women?s Tennis Coach Randy Rowley has announced the signing of Chelsea Bond of Wiggins, Miss., to a national letter of intent for the 2005-06 academic year.
Bond, 5-8, is an honor student at Stone County High School, where she was a four-year letterwinner in tennis. She has represented the state of Mississippi for five years in Junior Davis/Federation Cup play. She was a National Open finalist in girls? 14 doubles. She ended the 2004 season ranked No. 51 in the Southern Region. She was a finalist in the 4A state championship. She is the daughter of Ivan and Julie Bond of Perkinston, Miss.
