Lady Eagles Continue Play at Ole Miss Fall Classic

OXFORD, Miss. ? Southern Miss Lady Eagle tennis team continued their play at the Ole Miss Fall Classic.

In doubles competition, Nicola Slater and Ali Blackett defeated Marina Tasheva and Alet Boonzaaier of Tennessee Tech, 8-4, but lost in the finals to Jessica Simosa and Judith Diaz of KSU, 8-4.  Nikhila Narra and Grace Kammerer lost to Neolia Leon and Daliny Sithimorada of UL-Monroe, 8-6.  Jennifer Sibille and Courtney Ulrich lost to Leon and Sithimorada, 8-5, in the champion consolation draw.

Nikhila Narra defeated Neolia Leon of UL-Monroe, 6-4, 6-1, advancing to the finals of the White Draw consolation singles.  She will meet Maja Russinova of Tennessee Tech, who defeated Southern Miss? Ali Blackett, 6-4, 6-2.

Slater lost her singles? match to Anja Schmidt of Centenary in a three-set match, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.
