HATTIESBURG, Miss.? Following its first ever win against Cincinnati on Friday, the Southern Miss Lady Eagle soccer team went looking for the weekend sweep Sunday at Louisville, but came up short, 2-0.
Louisville senior goalkeeper Meredith Miller notched her fifth consecutive shutout, as Southern Miss falls to 5-4-1 overall, 1-3 in Conference USA.
The shutout was the fifth of the season for Miller, tying her school record-tying 2003 total and adding to her school record 13 career shutouts. Miller and her teammates have now held opponents scoreless for 501 consecutive minutes.
