BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-Southern Miss forward Carly Barkley found
the back of the net in the 63rd minute off an assist from
Lauren Prewitt while Samford was a man down to give
Southern Miss a 1-0 soccer victory at Samford on Friday
night.
Prewitt won a ball 35 yards from goal and beat the last
Samford defender, she crossed the ball to Barkley who beat
Crystal Royall with a shot to the far post to improve
Southern Miss to 2-0-1 on the season.

the cross bar and was cleared out of danger.

those shots came in the second period against 10 men.

cards.
