Southern Miss Soccer Opens Play Friday in New Orleans
HATTIESBURG, Miss - The Southern Miss Lady Eagle soccer team opens regular-season play on Friday, August 29th, in New Orleans at 5:30 p.m., against Nicholls State. This will be the first regular-season contest for both schools.
The Lady Eagles were victorious in their only exhibition contest last Friday, 3-0, against Birmingham-Southern at the Pre-Season Classic in Huntsville, Ala.
Southern Miss and Nicholls State have met three times, with the Lady Eagles winning all three contests. The most recent win was at Nicholls State on October 3, 2001.
The Lady Eagles return to New Orleans, Sunday, August 31, when they take on Southwest Texas State. Match time is set for Noon.
