Baseball Receives Highest Ranking In School History Once Again
Hattiesburg, Miss. - The Southern Miss baseball team moved up two spots to No. 15 in Baseball America's Poll, the highest ranking in the school's history, and stayed at the same ranking in the Collegiate Baseball and USA Today/Coaches Poll.
Two weeks ago, the Golden Eagles tied their former highest ranking at No. 19, matching the March 13, 1995 poll. Southern Miss moved up to No. 17 last week, marking the highest ranking the baseball program had ever received.
Conference USA member Tulane is ranked No. 24 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. TCU moved up to No. 28 in Collegiate Baseball's Poll and the Horned Frogs are receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
Southern Miss (41-14, 23-7 Conference USA) returns to action on Wednesday, May 21, at 12:30, CT, in the first round of the Conference USA Tournament at Turchin Stadium in New Orleans, La.
