Lady Eagle Tennis Team Inks Third Signee
HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Southern Miss Head Women's Tennis Coach Randy Rowley has announced the signing of Nicola Slater of Ayers, Scotland, during the spring signing period.
Slater is ranked in the top two in Scotland. She has won two European Tennis Association under 16 singles titles in the UK and Germany. She also won the Cote d' Azur 18 and under championship. She has a WTA ranking in doubles and points in singles. She has been ranked as high as eighth in the UK.
"I met Nicola last summer in Europe, where she played doubles with Nikhila Narra," Rowley said. "Nicola is the whole package, the ultimate competitor and treats her talent and game with a professional attitude. She will make an immediate impact on our program and be an instant role model."
