Lady Eagle Tennis Team Drops Match In Conference USA Tournament
NEW ORLEANS, La. ? The Southern Miss women?s tennis team lost in its opening match of the Conference USA Tournament, losing to No. 4 seeded Memphis, 4-0, Saturday at the Goldring Tennis Stadium. The Lady Eagles will play Cincinnati at 9 a.m., at Tulane, Sunday.
Memphis earned the early 1-0 lead, winning the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. No. 3 doubles were not completed.
Memphis got wins at No. 1, No. 2 and clinched the match with a win at No. 4 singles. The other three singles matches were not completed.
