Southern Miss Baseball Breaks Into Top 25
Hattiesburg, Miss. - The Southern Miss baseball team moved up to No. 24 in Collegiate Baseball's Poll, marking the highest ranking by the Golden Eagles this season. They also received 17 votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll, which was released on Monday, good enough for 35th overall.
Other Conference USA teams included in the polls this week are Tulane (25th) in the USA Today Coaches Poll and East Carolina, TCU and Houston are receiving votes.
Southern Miss (17-6) returns to action Tuesday night, traveling to Jackson, Miss., to face Mississippi Valley State at Smith-Wills Stadium at 6:30 p.m. The Golden Eagles travel to Oxford, Miss., to play a makeup game with Ole Miss at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday before coming home to host Tulane in a three-game Conference USA weekend series. Friday's game starts at 6:30 p.m., Saturday's at 3 p.m., and Sunday's at 1 p.m.
