Lady Eagle Golfers Place Fourth at Birmingham Southern Tournament
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Southern Miss women's golf team finished in fourth place at the Henry-Griffitts Southern Shootout, today, held at the Greystone Golf Club. The Lady Eagles shot 339-342 -- 681 and were led by Jennifer Keefe who scored 85-82 -- 167.
Natasha Vincent tied for 13th with 83-85 -- 168, and both Brena Quaranto (90-85 -- 175) and Ashlea Deener (85-90 -- 175) shared 26th place. Ofelia Lopez withdrew from the tournament, after shooting 86 in the first round.
Jacksonville State took home the team trophey after scoring 322-320 --642. The winning squad was led by tournament medalist Angie Green who scored 78-78 -- 156. UAB was the runner-up, shooting 334-340 -- 674.
