Lady Eagle Soccer Hosts Pairs Of Matches This Weekend

HATTIESBURG, Miss - The Southern Miss soccer team will try for its first conference victory of the season, this weekend, as it hosts UAB on Friday, and USF on Sunday.

Friday's match is set for 4 p.m., while Sunday's match with USF is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The Lady Eagles (7-3-2, 0-3-1) come in having won two straight matches with victories over Jackson State (9-0) and South Alabama (2-1) last weekend.

UAB (7-3, 3-1) has not played since Sept. 28 when DePaul defeated the Blazers, 2-1, in double overtime. The Blazers are currently tied for Third place in Conference USA.

USF (5-4-1, 3-0-1) is coming off a 2-1 win over Jacksonville Tuesday night at home. The Bulls play at Tulane Friday night. USF is currently in second place in Conference USA.

After this weekend, the Lady Eagles travel to take on TCU on Friday, Oct. 17, and Memphis, Oct. 19.
