Lady Eagle Soccer Travels To Houston HATTIESBURG, Miss -
The Lady Eagles enter the contest with an 8-6-2 record, but with just a 1-6-1 record in Conference USA play. Houston enters with a 3-12-1 overall record, and at 1-7 in C-USA.
Southern Miss is coming off two-straight conference road losses last weekend. TCU defeated the Lady Eagles 2-0 on Friday, while Sunday's game at Memphis went to overtime, with the Tigers squeaking out a 3-2 victory.
Houston is also coming off two straight conference road losses. Both were 1-0 scores against UAB and South Florida.
Houston's three wins this season have come against Eastern Washington, Texas State, and Memphis. The Cougars are led in goals scored by Nikki Hawkins with four.
Carly Barkley leads the Lady Eagles in goals scored with seven.
After Friday's match, Southern Miss will conclude its regular season schedule at home the following week as it takes on Tulane on Friday, Oct. 31, at 3 p.m., and Mississippi State on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m.
