Lady Eagle Soccer Losses At TCU

FORT WORTH, TEXAS - The Lady Eagles' three-match road trip did not get off to a good start here as TCU, behind two second half goals, defeated Southern Miss 2-0.

The loss sent the Lady Eagles to 8-5-2 overall, and 1-5-1 in Conference USA. TCU improved to 7-6-1 and 5-1.

Jessie Moore started the scoring for the Horned Frogs with a goal at the 63:41 mark. It was her fifth goal of the season.

TCU added an insurance goal just three minutes later when Ashley Fortune recorded her second goal of the season, which put TCU ahead 2-0.

The Horned Frogs outshot Southern Miss, 20-8, and shots on goal, 11-2.

The Lady Eagles return to action Sunday at Memphis. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
