UAB Defeats Lady Eagles In Soccer HATTIESBURG, Miss -
The Blazers scored its first goal of the match at the 7:02 minute mark when Jill Knottek recovered a deflected pass of a defender and scored from about 10 yards out.
UAB's second goal came 15 minutes later when Tara Kidwell, off an assist from Knottek, scored from five yards out.
The Blazers final goal came in the second half at the 71 minute mark as Suzanna Lamotte's shot deflected off Southern Miss goalie Anna Snyder for a goal.
UAB outshot the Lady Eagles 29-7, and shots on goal 12-5.
Southern Miss returns to action Sunday, at home, as it takes on USF. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
